Dr Pandis is an Associate Professor at the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, University of Bern Switzerland and Editor-in-Chief in Progress in Orthodontics. He completed his DDS at the University of Athens, Greece and his orthodontic training at The Ohio State University, USA, followed by a fellowship in surgical orthodontics at the University of Texas, Dallas. He holds a Dr med dent in orthodontic biomechanics from the University of Bonn, Germany, an MSc in clinical trials from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, UK, a PhD in Epidemiology from the Medical School at the University of Ioannina, Greece and an MS in Biostatistics from the University of Hasselt, Belgium. Dr Pandis has over 400 scientific publications in peer-reviewed biomedical journals and 2 books in clinical orthodontics and clinical research methodology. Besides his academic activities, he maintains a private orthodontic practice in Corfu, Greece and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
