Quiroga Souki Bernardo
Bernardo Quiroga Souki, DDS, MSc, PhD – Professor of Orthodontics at the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He earned his DDS and MSc from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, PhD in Children’s Health from its Medical School, certificates in Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry (USP). He supervises clinical training and researches clear aligner biomechanics, digital model superimposition and 3D assessment of dental and skeletal movements, attachment configuration, Herbst appliance, mouth breathing and long-term effects of early Class III treatment. He has coordinated or advised studies on in-house aligners, third palatal rugae as landmarks, rapid maxillary expansion/facemask and adenotonsillectomy impact on facial growth. Active member of the World Federation of Orthodontists and Brazilian Orthodontic Association, reviewer for AJODO, Orthodontics & Craniofacial Research, Angle Orthodontics and Progress in Orthodontics.
