Ersilia Barbato is currently Deputy Rector for Educational Activities and President of Quality Assurance Committee of Sapienza University of Rome. She holds the position of Full Professor and directs the Postgraduate School of Orthodontics. She is also the Director of the Orthodontics Complex Operative Unit at Policlinico Umberto I University Hospital. In 2019, she served as President of the Italian Society of Orthodontics (SIDO). As the author of numerous publications in national and international journals, her clinical and research work focuses on orthodontics, with a particular emphasis on the prevention and treatment of malocclusions, a multidisciplinary approach, and the study of dental anomalies and their genetic bases.
